Building Rules

Players may build on their land, but they are expected to do so responsibly. Buildings should not damage the look of the map, create lag, or block access for other players.

Respect the land

  • Keep the land in good condition and avoid unnecessary damage to the environment.
  • Do not overbuild, create excessive lighting, or make changes that harm the appearance of the map.
  • Build in a way that keeps the area looking clean and realistic.

Building placement

  • Do not use the place anywhere option for building placement.
  • Do not place buildings on top of other structures or overlap them.
  • Improper building placement may lead to fines, removal of the structure, or loss of building permissions.

Landscaping

  • Landscaping must be done carefully and in a way that does not reduce the usefulness of the property.
  • Avoid leaving rough or jagged terrain that looks unfinished or unusable.
  • Do not fill in or destroy natural features such as ponds, lakes, rivers, streams, or other map features.

Roads and access

  • No building should be placed within 10 feet of a road.
  • Do not remove trees or bushes from public road easements.
  • Keep access roads and right-of-way areas open for other players who need to reach their property.

Trees and decorative items

  • Players may remove trees on their own land if needed for building or field work.
  • Do not cut trees along established roadsides unless an exception is approved.
  • Decorative trees are for decoration only and may not be harvested for lumber production.

Natural features and train tracks

  • Do not alter natural creeks, rivers, or other major map features.
  • Respect train track easements and do not claim land that belongs to the track area.

Building permits

Building permits are required for all buildings. When applying, include a clear description of what is being built and the lot location. Permits are reviewed to make sure structures are placed correctly and follow the rules.
